Prioritisation Framework
What is the prioritisation matrix?
Our framework helps you to make informed decisions, optimise your resources and increase your chances of success, all while reducing the risk of costly mistakes.
This can be applied to any business area such as Feature Prioritisation, Market Segmentation, Product Portfolio and more.
How does it work?
We assign numbers on a scale from 1-10 to various indicators that are used to evaluate and prioritise different options. Such as:
Level of pain
Ease of use
Revenue potential
Number of users
Feasibility
Adaptability
The relative differences between options matter more than the exact numbers. Don't stress too much about the numbers - just focus on establishing a consistent method for comparing them.
Who should participate?
To make sure your prioritisation framework works well, it's important to include people who really understand each of the indicatorsbeing evaluated, ideally C-Suite or Founding team members.
For example, if you're prioritising software features, it would be helpful to have input from your most senior development team responsible, such as CTO, VP of Engineering, as they can provide a more informed perspective on technical feasibility and resource requirements.
