Write a news headline or article from the future about the subject or project
This exercise helps us to think of big, newsworthy ideas by adopting the tone and language of a newspaper article or press release.
Explaining how and why an idea works also forces us to consider the steps to success and think through both strategic insights and opportunities as well as potential liabilities.
Pretend you’ve already achieved success. What would the newspaper headline or article say?
Brief participants to write headlines and/or articles imagining a future in which the project has gone so exceedingly well that a newspaper article has been written on its success
Ask them to write in the style of an actual newspaper article.
Set a timer for 5 minutes for just headlines or 10 minutes for articles. The Miro timer is on the top right of screen
Let participants know they can write in a separate application and paste in at the end (writing while others are watching can be disconcerting)
Discuss the results and consider what might need to happen for any of these scenarios to manifest
