Data Sharing Workshop

Report

The template provides a board for facilitating interactive session with your city team or stakeholders to explore the essential data required to achieve specific goals, such as developing a tool to monitor GHG emissions.

We all understand that informed decisions and progress monitoring rely on data. Therefore, before standardizing any data, it's crucial to map the available data. This mapping exercise will help identify missing data, the types of stakeholders to engage, and the data structure required. The board provides a template for exploring during a session and several ones, the following aims:

  • Identify the types of available data.

  • Determine the data necessary to achieve our goals, such as optimizing energy assets or monitoring CCC progress.

  • Assess data availability (public, private).

  • Analyze the data collection process (digitalized, manual).

  • Identify key stakeholders who can provide data related to the main emission domains in our cities.

The session concludes with a visual map of the city's data needs and a prioritization exercise. This map and exercise will prove invaluable in guiding the next steps of our pilot project.
