Why?

The Persona Canvas is designed to help product teams, UX designers, and consultants clearly understand and engage their key stakeholders. By visualising each stakeholder as a persona, teams build a shared understanding of who they’re working with, what each person cares about, and how best to involve them. It aligns planning and communication efforts, from internal project discussions to external social media outreach – making sure every message hits the mark.

Each persona profile captures important details (demographics, pain points, roles, and more) so nothing crucial falls through the cracks. This clarity drives empathy and focus. With a clear picture of stakeholders’ needs and influence, your team can tailor strategies and content to resonate with each one. It ensures your stakeholder engagement remains comprehensive, focused, and actionable, keeping everyone aligned on the path forward.

How?

Create the persona – Add name, role, company, and an avatar to bring your stakeholder to life.
Add context – Capture demographics like location, language, and work environment to ground the persona.
Identify needs – Highlight what matters to them: goals, pain points, likes, and dislikes.
Define interaction – Describe how they engage with your product or project, and their level of influence.
Map engagement – Use the influence grid to decide whether to monitor, inform, or manage closely.
Build your library – Duplicate the canvas for each stakeholder and collect them in the Persona Library for a full overview.
